I believe the “unscripted” moments we long for in imagery must be given the space to happen. This comes from a complete and total comfort with the person capturing you. And that is exactly how I intend to make you feel… from the planning process, outfit and location help, direction with prompts and posing to the final delivery, I strive to make working with me feel like you’re placing your vision in the hands of trusted friend.

Below are some important notes detailing how I work!

I do not! I’ve found my style of work really lends itself to allowing space and time for connection. I look for authenticity in all of my shots, and that only comes from connecting with those you are photographing. The times outlined below are merely references, but I let capturing the full story of the shoot dictate final duration.

Anything 30 miles round-trip from where I am based in Oak Creek, WI is included. For roundtrip locations that are over that, I charge $0.70 per mile after the 30 included miles. For Chicago locations, I charge a flat travel fee of $50.

Dreamy cinema with a touch of editorial drama. I would say my style is heavily inspired by nostalgic connection, nature, movie stills, old Renaissance paintings, film and poetry. My ideal shoot is crafting a space that feels like you’re stepping back into a storybook. I strive for uniqueness, movement and dreamy, dramatic emotion in all of my shoots.

Location is EVERYTHING, and an area I love having a hand in. When considering locations, I think about what story we want to tell. Are we wandering the streets of the city where you first met? Are we attending a nighttime fair with a ride on the Ferris wheel? Are we looking to galivant through an Italian villa? I am always down for unique suggestions.

Prepare to move! My style is aimed at capturing and creating the space for authentic moments to occur. Be prepared to frolic, and interact with the space we are in, and each other. I move away from resembling anything like what I call a “prom pose.” But mostly, be prepared to have FUN! This is something I hear mostly from my clients… that they had a blast! We’ll be chatting and snapping away the whole time!

Details like outfits make a HUGE difference in the outcome and feel of your images. I would say this is largely location-dependent, which we will discuss and plan accordingly, but as a general rule for things outside I would going with something neutral, loose and allows for movement. Ladies, this will add to the dreaminess of your images! For guys, choose something that is simple and neutral, likes jeans, white tee, or think European like neutrals.

The time of day that we should is probably the most important element of the shoot. And this is largely dependent on the overall vibe and story we’re looking to tell. Afternoon/early evening/ evening gives extremely cinematic and dreamy lighting. Late morning/High noon, or midday, is the harshest light of the day, and I think this light lends itself to more dramatic, editorial-like photography. And sunrise to early morning sun gives a beautiful blue light and soft pastels. Overcast, or cloudy lighting, is very even and diffused, great for standard portraits and images that are either more traditional, or even a moodier feel.

Couples/Wedding Videography

Looking to create a film about your love? Let’s capture your story with a cinematic film that you’ll want to watch over and over again… For couples films and Save the Dates, the final film will be 1-2 min. For wedding films, the final film will be a minimum of 5 minutes and also include a 45 sec highlight video.
