No matter what we come to work together on, a wedding, a brand campaign, a film etc. I strive with every session and project to ensure it it meticulously planned, and to craft a meaningful connection between us. I genuinely want us to be friends!

I believe the best imagery comes from feeling comfortable, both with the ease of the process and with your photographer. Those “authentic” and “unscripted” moments we long for in imagery, in my view, must be given a space to happen… and that comes with total trust and connection with the person capturing you or your business. This is why I prioritize starting with a phone call with anyone who reaches out wanting to work! If we vibe together, we’ll create awesome things together. Simple as that.

Below I have detailed the path to working with me, but outside of that and the aspects of the packages on my site, here is what you can count on me to passionately bring to every project or session.

From the philosophy of Alexander Hitchins from the legendary rom-com “Hitch” (If I didn’t already say it once, I love movies)… I believe you must create the opportunity to allow for effortless, natural moments to unfold. The “undocumented” and “unscripted” moments we long for in imagery don’t just happen by accident.

I am an active believer that the best, most authentic outcomes bloom from the best laid plans… and that is how I will conduct working together. Whether you are a couple looking to capture your love or a brand looking to connect with customers, I take immense care and preparation in making sure that your vision is executed beautifully, smoothly and uniquely.

Location, Outfit & Posing

Location Scouting: Whether we are figuring out where to shoot your love or for a brand campaign, know that I will find, and likely visit beforehand, the location we are shooting at to plan out the best shots and lighting for that space. And for outfit selection, I’ll be there to guide you with ideas that will add to the story of your shoot.

Pose and Prompt Direction: This is something I do when even I’m asked to take pics of people on the street. I want to ensure you look your best in a picture, so if we’re working together and a hair is out of place, I will fix it. You also won’t have to worry about how to pose, I come to the session with a roster of ideas and will give you constant direction for posing and creating carefree moments.

An Unrushed Experience & A Friend

Whenever I plan a shoot with someone, I don’t like sticking to strict end times for the session. I believe creativity and connection flows best when it isn’t rushed, and I want us to have the space to connect with one another during our session. Therefore, the times on my site are meant as a reference guide, not a strict timeframe.

THE CREATIVE PATHWAY

Whenever I work with someone new, I want us to get to know each other first. When you hire a photographer, you are often inviting that person in to experience you, your partner, or your business on an incredibly intimate level. So after you inquire, let’s get off the screen and onto a call to see how we vibe!

After we get to know one another, we’ll finalize dates, timelines and whatever else we need, and I’ll send over a contract with all of our discussed details for our shoot or project. At this stage, I request a 25% retainer of the session price to secure your booking date.

This is where my work begins. From here, I’ll work to scout locations, build out inspiration boards, get permits, models, etc. If we’re working on Content Creation, I’ll start to script out and plan the content, everything from the topics to the scripts, ahead of shoot day. If we’re working on a film, I’ll create a storyboard and shotlist for how we want your film to look. If I’m shooting your wedding or elopement, I will work out a detailed schedule for the day ahead of time to capture all of these special moments. All of this planning ensures a smooth process and a captivating result come shoot day. All you have to do is show up! Throughout the planning process, I will be in frequent communication with you so we are on the same page with the final outcome. And never be afraid to hit me up with questions!

The big day! After all that planning, shoot day should be pretty seamless. Now, it’s really all about having fun and getting to chat with one another. On shoot day I will provide continuous direction and guidance, so you can feel confident your imagery is going to turn out magical.

The final stage of our work together. After we shoot everything, we part ways and I begin editing. Depending on the nature and scope of the session or project, my editing timeframe will vary. This will be outlined prior to working together. For most photography portrait sessions, my turnaround is 3-6 weeks, wedding work (photo or video) is 4-12 weeks, and Content Creation work will have a custom timeline to factor in planning, editing and scheduling as well.

After editing is finished, I send over your images and videos via PicTime or WeTransfer (for large video files usually).

Some of my most frequently asked questions, but never be afraid to hit me up if you have others!

There is no question I love to travel and explore new places! I’d love to work with you, whether you’re in Milwaukee or Peru. For my travel costs, if it’s over 50 miles from Oak Creek WI, I start at $25 in basic travel expenses. If the project requires further travel time and a potential hotel stay, flight and stay expenses will require a larger travel fee evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Depending on the scope of the project and my workload at the time of our shoot, this will vary. For portraits, I send back the full gallery within 3-6 weeks. Weddings and elopements are 4-12 weeks, and all video work can I give between 4-12 weeks as well. For brand work, I create custom timelines that we will discuss based on your business needs.

I would say above all else I strive to create a very cinematic, movie-still-like feeling in my images with people. I love incorporating movement, energy and laughter to create images that feel alive. As far as coloring, I don’t try to make one preset fit every situation, but rather edit in a way that enhances the feeling and mood of each visual story. I am heavily inspired by film stock and cinematic coloring.

Yes! Once you decide to book, I require 25% of the session/project price to secure your date.

Within reason. If you have a few minor editing changes or want some extra black and white pics, I am happy to do so. However, a full gallery re-edit ( while I have not had this happen) may incur an extra charge. This is why I take such great care prior to our shoot to understand your vision, so that we create images you are overjoyed with.

Without question! I am game for anything you’re looking to do and am always excited and looking to diversify my creative skillset. Whatever you would like to work on, reach out and we can chat about how to make it happen.

I send all contracts and invoices using Honeybook! Through that platform, you may pay by credit card or ACH bank transfer. I can also offer payment plans through Honeybook as well for larger projects! I also take payments through Venmo, Cash or a Check.

Travel, nature, nostalgic film and powerful cinematography are the primary drivers for what I aim to create. I also love using light in creative ways.I love using the natural environment to create something that is artistic and uniquely yours.
